01State of implementation

This website is designed and developed to the requirements of WCAG 2.1 level AA. The implementation has been checked by us; no external assessment has been carried out.

02What is implemented

• All text achieves a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against its background. Graphical elements that carry meaning — diagram lines, borders, state markers — achieve at least 3:1.
• The website can be operated entirely with the keyboard. The element currently in focus is marked by a clearly visible outline.
• A link at the top of the page leads directly to the main content and skips the navigation. It becomes visible as soon as it is reached with the keyboard.
• Every page carries exactly one first-order heading. Headings, lists, tables and page regions are marked up semantically, not only visually.
• Every image carries alternative text. Purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology so that they are not read out.
• No information is conveyed by colour alone; states are additionally recognisable by shape or label. Whatever appears on hovering with the mouse appears equally on keyboard focus.
• Motion and transitions follow the system setting for reduced motion and are switched off when it is set.
• Content and navigation targets are reachable without JavaScript. Expandable areas such as the common questions can also be operated without a script.
• Between 320 and 1920 pixels of window width no horizontal scrolling arises. Content reflows instead of being cut off.
• The language of each page is declared in its markup — German (Switzerland) for the German pages, English for the English ones.

03Known limitations

The menu for narrow windows cannot be opened without JavaScript. In that case all navigation targets remain reachable through the page footer, which carries the same links on every page.

The labels inside the diagrams fall below the minimum font size of 12 px; on narrow screens they are only a few pixels tall. A diagram scales as a whole with the window width — larger type inside it would make the labels overlap.

Beyond that, we are not currently aware of any content that fails to meet the requirements.
